Magic Mirror

Real-time generative AI between a person and their reflection.

For the opening of the Nebula gallery in downtown Seattle, I built a custom real-time generative AI pipeline that modifies the user's facial expression. This involved optimizing several ComfyUI nodes to achieve ~20fps performance on an RTX 3070 with minimal latency. I hardened the installation to run 24/7 and recover from power outages, and backlit the mirror with addressable LEDs. The result was an enticing, uncanny experience that amplified and played off the user's own reaction.
